I am a 28 year old artist, and the owner and sole creator of what you have come to know as Shoegaze Majic. I relocated to Washington in 2020 from Arizona, where I lived most of my life. I have always pursued a variety of creative endeavors, but most of my adolescence leading into young adult life, I fell victim to various forms of self destructive behaviors. Due to this, I felt at a loss and disconnected from any sense of purpose or self-worth and struggled with maintaining concrete motivation for anything. This hindered any form of creative expression and further perpetuated the cycle. After suffering through a traumatic loss, my perspective both internally and externally shifted, and I sought out any means of an artistic outlet in order to cope with the grief and replenish myself from the harm I had caused. This is what led me to the life changing discovery of fluid art. 

Incorporating high quality fluid acrylics, epoxy resin, vibrant mica pigments and alcohol inks, I experiment with the possibilities that varying densities and consistencies will yield. Achieving a balance of flow, seamless mixture and composition is my aim, and I have discovered quite a few anomalies along the way. I am eager to explore every facet of this medium and to widen my scope of creations. 

I specialize in custom abstract paintings made with any combination of the items listed above. These paintings are on various substrates ranging from MDF, birchwood, stretched canvas, Yupo paper and linen canvas. The shapes of these substrates extend from the square and hexagon realm to include prisms, irregular shapes, rounds and custom 3- dimensional objects and designs that are personally desired. I also specialize in various resin art forms and creations, such as free form geodes and casted designs offered by molds. Any wooden substrate or mold can be transformed into a custom resin piece that can incorporate any of the materials above, as well as gemstones, crystals, glitter, glass, inanimate objects, etc.

Investing all of myself into my creations has given me the capacity to cultivate a sense of identity, and to substantiate purpose within my life. I am truly indebted to those who have deeply influenced and supported me along this journey, and to the power of creation and manifestation as a whole, for I can not fathom at this juncture in my life where I would be without it. I can only hope that my creations are able to reach and impact others, as well as to transfer the passion and love that I have invested into them to the viewer.
